UPDATE
Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in DOC Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine. As always it is a privilege to be your orthopaedic care provider.
As COVID-19’s impact on communities increase, we feel it important to communicate our plan to keep patients and staff healthy and safe. DOC has been and will continue to monitor the situation in conjunction with guidance from the Al Dept of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.
Our Locations: While our facilities and equipment are cleaned frequently throughout the day, we are increasing the frequency of cleaning and sanitizing all exams rooms between each patient. Our waiting areas will be continuously cleaned as well as our kiosks, writing tools, clipboards, etc.
Our Patients: If you are sick (coughing, fever, achiness) please reschedule your appointment for a later date when you are no longer ill. Please contact our scheduling office at 256.350.0362.
If you or anyone in your family has been on a cruise or traveled to China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, or Japan in the last 14 days, please contact our office to reschedule your appointment.
Please wash your hands before your appointment. We will continue to provide hand sanitizer at our kiosks, front desk, and other areas throughout the facilities for your use.
If you are not comfortable utilizing the registration kiosks please check-in at the reception desk. Also, if you prefer to wait in your vehicle arrangements can be made to text you when the care team is ready to escort you to an exam room.
If possible please limit the number of family members or friends accompanying the patient to one (1) person.
Our Care Team: We are continuing our hand washing policy and are implementing a no-handshake policy with patients and team members. Team members will wash their hands before contact with each patient.
Our team members will stay home if they are sick. Our team members will stay home if they or a family member have been exposed to COVID-19.
